Celebrex 200 mg tablets are indicated for the management of acute myasthenia, or atopic dermatitis, and for the relief of symptoms associated with eczema (e.g., itching or burning of the skin). Each capsule contains 200 mg of celecoxib.

Dosage:The recommended starting dose is 200 mg, taken 2 or 3 times daily. To reduce the risk of gastric and duodenal ulcers, 200 mg should be taken 3 times daily.
Warnings:Do not use in the elderly. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

It belongs to the family known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID), and specifically a sub-group known as cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitors. It is used in adults for the relief of signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. In conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, excess production of prostaglandins by your body can lead to pain and inflammation. This medicine works by decreasing the production of prostaglandins, effectively reducing pain and inflammation.
Do not take Celebrex 200mg capsule if you are allergic to Celecoxib or any of its ingredients. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) approves the first generic versions of Celebrex (Celecoxib) for arthritis pain relief and arthritis in the spine, an alternative to celecoxib, due to the increased availability of the drug. This is a generic version of the popular prescription drug, Celebrex. Celebrex was approved for use in patients with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis, according to the agency’s website. Celebrex, also known by the brand name Celexx, is used to treat pain in the spine, and is approved for use in the management of rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. Celebrex is also used in patients with mild to moderate pain, as it has been approved for use in patients with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.
“Celebrex (Celecoxib) is approved for the treatment of pain in the spine,” said, the acting director of the DEA’s Office of Drug Enforcement. “We are pleased to be able to approve this new drug in this form. This makes it a very exciting new option for treating pain in the spine.”
The generic version of Celebrex is available in the strengths of 200mg, 400mg and 800mg.
“The availability of these generic versions of Celebrex will make it a very attractive option for patients,” said John Smith, president of the National Arthritis Foundation. “We are excited to see our generic versions of Celebrex available in this form for patients who need long-term pain relief or arthritis pain.”
